Northwest of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete
The Caribbean Alps. The single name can serve as a

Cabarete
Just 20 minutes from the airport Gregorio Luperón in Puerto
Plata is one of the top 10 beaches in the world for windsurfing. The absence of coral barrier and strong trade winds provide excellent waves all year round.
However, the most interesting is waiting for you in June. In this month's World

Luperon in Puerto Plata is an unusual cosmopolitan city with idyllic beaches

Puerto Plata

Monte Cristi
The blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean clearly stand out against the background of the most northern province, arid and something

rocky formation, descending to the sea, also known as El Morro (in Spanish

Santiago de los Caballeros

Pico Duarte
Pico Duarte, the height of 3,140 meters the highest
mountain in the Caribbean Sea. As you climb you get acquainted with tropical

This is a wonderful walk, which requires, however, a certain endurance,
because the route, whether on foot or riding a mule, takes a minimum of two
full days.
The Valley of Jarabacoa and Constanza
In Jarabacoa Valley, located on the lower slopes of Duarte
Peak, at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, year-round coolness reigns.
From this is her second name: «The country of eternal spring». Landscape of the
valley is absolutely alpine: forest with deciduous trees, pine trees,
evergreen pastures with grazing flocks. These are the Caribbean Alps,
in the existence of which is hard to believe until you see them with my own
eyes. The valley will be interesting to visit those who seek direct contact
between the nature. Gimeno Rivers and North Yagua are perfect for the descent
into the inflatable chamber or rafting, beginners climbers like the route to the waterfall Gimeno, paragliding lovers can fly here from a height of 200
meters. Constanza Valley also fascinates with its pure landscape. This is a beautiful garden, where grow flowers, strawberries, a variety of vegetables.
